The inspiration for the design is a notation system for ballet called "Benesh Notation" which is like sheet music for dance moves.

This is a portion of a ballet notated on the building. The ballet is called "GLORIA" by Kenneth McMillan. It is about war and redemption... deceased soldiers and angels.
